The Struggle for Life
It's like a flower so very slow,
the tiny seed it starts to grow.
At first you see the struggle to unfold,
but it has layers of all the old.
Layer by layer it peels away,
this new flower, it wants to stay.
So with a struggle and a fight,
this little flower can see some light.
Frail at first it tries to form,
determination it will be born.
To see it now you would never know,
that this little flower wasn't always so
bold.
